Frequently asked questions.

I am new to Pickleball, what sort of physical abilities are needed?

Pickleball for beginners does not need to be highly physically demanding. Almost anyone can play if you have good overall health and mobility. For example, can you walk a mile? Can you bend over to pick things up off of the floor unassisted? Can walk up and down stairs easily? Can you do 5-10 squats without weights? If so, then you can likely play pickleball. But, obviously as with any sport there is risk of injuries, so we recommend you speak with your personal doctor before you try it, to make sure it’s safe for YOU.

I’m a Beginner - What do I wear, and do I need to bring anything?

SHOES: You will need COURT SHOES, designed for athletics, preferably shoes specifically designed for Tennis or Pickleball. Running shoes are not recommended as they are not designed for the lateral movements you will be doing on the court. Casual Fashion sneakers, sandals etc are a NO GO.

Clothing, Wear whatever you would normally wear for any sort of athletic activity outdoors. Whatever is comfortable for you, and allows for your athletic mobility.

Bring your own water bottles, & snacks if you may need them. Sunscreen if you need it.

Paddles: If You don’t have a paddle, no problem. Let us know in advance, and we can bring one for you. If you have your own, you are welcome to bring it along.

What If I need to cancel the Class or Event I booked?

Let us know as EARLY as possible, via email (hello@leftcoastpickleball.com)

Our coaching sessions and social events rely on having sufficient players on the court. If we don’t have enough players, the quality of the event is significantly diminished for all of the participants. So, while we understand that your plans can change, and we strive to offer flexibility where possible, sufficient advance notice of any changes to your plans is imperative to our success. We need time to replace you, so that the experience is not diminished for others. Please read our refund policy carefully before purchasing your ticket to our pickleball events or coaching services.

How to Request a Cancellation and Credit:

To request a cancellation and receive credit for a future event:

  • Contact us at hello@leftcoastpickleball at least 7 days prior to your booked event.

  • Provide your order details, including your purchase confirmation number, event name, and event date, and email address.

  • Once your request is approved, we will issue the credit and send you confirmation via email with instructions on how to redeem it for future events.

What is the Refund Policy?

For Cancellations Made 7 Days Notice or More, Prior to a booked Event:

  • If you wish to cancel your participation,  you may do so up to 7 days prior to the event date. In such cases, we do not offer cash refunds. Instead, you will receive a credit equal to the value of your original reservation. This credit can be applied toward a future event hosted by LCPP.

  • The credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of issuance and can be redeemed for any of our upcoming events.

Cancellations Made Less than 7 days Prior to the Scheduled Event/Class/Session.

  • Unfortunately, if you cancel your ticket on LESS than 7 days notice prior to the event, or if you do not attend the event, you will not be eligible for a refund or a credit.

  • No exceptions will be made unless the event is canceled or rescheduled by LCPP. (see section below on event cancellations).

  • Why 7 days?? Advance notice of any changes to your plans is critical to our success. We need time to try to replace you, so the on-court experience is not damaged for others. We need at least 4 players on each court, or no one can play.
